Use of the Gym and Wellness Suite including Thermal Spa for 2 guests living at the same address.
Gym Membership Terms & Conditions
1. Membership Agreement
By joining the gym, all members agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions, gym rules, and any reasonable instructions given by management or staff.
The gym reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes.
2. Membership Eligibility
Members must be at least 16 years old unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Members under 18 may require parental or guardian consent.
The gym reserves the right to refuse or terminate membership at its discretion.
Joint Memberships are only available if the 2 members are living at the same address.
3. Membership Fees & Payments
Membership fees must be paid in advance by Direct Debit, standing order, card payment, or other approved methods. Joining fees and membership payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
Failed or missed payment may result in suspension of membership access.
The gym reserves the right to increase membership prices upon giving reasonable notice.
4. Membership Term & Cancellation
Monthly Memberships
Monthly memberships continue until cancelled.
Members must provide at least 30 days’ written notice to cancel.
Fixed-Term Memberships
Fixed-term membership cannot usually be cancelled before the agreed term ends unless exceptional circumstances apply.
Cooling-Off Period
Members may cancel within 14 days of joining if required by applicable consumer law, provided gym facilities have not been substantially used.
5. Freezing Memberships
Memberships may be frozen for medical reasons, injury, pregnancy, or extended travel at management discretion.
Proof maybe required.
6. Use of Facilities
Members agree:
To use equipment safely and responsibly.
To wipe down equipment after use.
To wear appropriate gym attire and footwear.
Not to misuse equipment or engage in unsafe behaviour.
The gym may refuse access to anyone behaving inappropriately or dangerously.
7. Health & Medical Conditions
Members confirm they are physically fit to exercise and use Thermal Spa Facilities.
Any medical conditions that may affect training should be disclosed before participation.
Members exercise entirely at their own risk.
Hellidon Lakes strongly recommends consulting a doctor before beginning any exercise or Spa programme.
Thermal Spa Usage
For the comfort and safety of all guests:
Appropriate swimwear must be worn in all spa areas.
Members must shower before using thermal facilities.
Use of saunas, steam rooms and hyro-pool facilities is at the member’s own risk.
Members should not use thermal facilities if pregnant, under the influence of alcohol/drugs, or suffering from medical conditions that may be affected by heat.
Mobile phones and loud behaviour are discouraged within relaxation areas.
Members must follow all posted spa etiquette and staff instructions.
Use of the Thermal Spa is Subject to Availability on the day following our Maximum Capacity guidelines.
We reserve the right to close the Thermal Spa for private hotel functions which we will notify the members.
From time to time we may need to close the Thermal Spa for essential maintenance or operational procedures,
8. Personal Belongings
Lockers are provided for convenience only.
The gym accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.
Items left overnight may be removed.
9. Opening Hours & Facility Changes
Opening hours may vary during holidays, maintenance periods, or special events.
Certain areas or equipment may occasionally be unavailable.
No refunds will be provided for temporary closures or maintenance unless required by law.
All equipment is subject to availability.
Hotel Guests and Spa Day guests also have access to the Leisure Facilities.
10. Photography & CCTV
CCTV may operate throughout the premises for security and safety purposes.
Members must respect the privacy of others when taking photos or videos.
Commercial photography or filming is prohibited without prior consent.
11. Suspension & Termination
The gym reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership without refund for:
Abuse of staff or members
Dangerous conduct
Damage to equipment or facilities
Illegal activity
Breach of these Terms & Conditions
12. Liability
Members use the gym facilities at their own risk.
The gym shall not be liable for injuries, loss, or damage except where caused by negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.
